As nomeações aos Independent Spirit Awards 2015 já foram anunciadas e, como se esperava, os filmes "Birdman", "Selma" e "Boyhood" são os mais representados nas nomeações, estando os três nomeados ao Prémio de Melhor Filme, juntamente com "Whiplash" e "Love Is Strange". O vencedor destes prémios do cinema independente serão anunciados a 21 de Fevereiro de 2015, um dia antes da cerimónia de entrega dos Óscares.
