Justin.tv is the leader in live video, and the place to broadcast and share video online. Our community consists of over 3 million registered users, and the site receives millions of unique visitors per month and hundreds of millions of pageviews per month.
Founded in October 2006, Justin.tv began as the crazy brainchild of its founder, Justin Kan, who decided it would be really cool if he could broadcast his entire life, 24/7, to the Internet. To make his idea a reality, he enlisted the help of his friends Michael, Emmett and Kyle, and raised a seed investment from Y Combinator. Together, the team launched "Justin.tv," the very first lifecast, on March 19, 2007. After gaining the national media spotlight, hundreds of people started asking for the ability to broadcast their own channels. As a result, the team went back to work to build the ultimate platform for live video on the web.
