Óscares 2009 - Nomeados

Na manhã desta quinta-feira (22/1), o actor Forest Whitaker juntou-se a Sid Ganis, presidente da Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas, para revelar os principais nomeados ao prémio mais badalado do cinema norte-americano. O anúncio foi feito no teatro Samuel Goldwyn, em Beverly Hills (EUA). O grande nomeado desta 81ª edição dos Óscares é ?The Curious Case of Benjamin Button?, um drama realizado por David Fincher e protagonizado por Brad Pitt que arrecadou 13 nomeações, incluindo a de Melhor Filme e Melhor Realizador. Não houve grandes surpresas nos nomeados já que os principais candidatos, confirmaram o seu grande favoritismo. De todo o leque de categorias, aquela que talvez oferece mais surpresas é a de Melhor Música Original, onde não marca presença o tema principal de ?The Wrestler? da autoria de Bruce Springsteen. Outra ausência importante é a do filme isrealita "Waltz With Bashir" da lista dos nomeados para Melhor Filme Animado.
A categoria de Melhor Filme, considerada por muitos como a principal dos Óscares, tem como nomeados 4 repetentes dos Golden Globes deste ano (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, Slumdog Millionaire, The Reader) e apenas uma novidade com ?Milk? a substituir ?Revolutionary Road?. A actriz Kate Winslet, uma das grandes vencedoras dos Golden Globes, só está nomeada para uma categoria, mais precisamente para a de Melhor Actriz Principal pelo seu papel em ?The Reader?. Nesta categoria, a actriz britânica terá a concorrência de nomes de peso como Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway e Meryl Streep. O malogrado actor Heath Ledger também está nomeado para o Óscar de Melhor Actor Secundário pelo seu papel em ?The Dark Knight?, confirmando assim as previsões de que a Academia poderá conceder um Óscar póstumo ao actor.
